The production of a floor-standing indoor infrared (IR) touch kiosk involves combining a high-strength metal enclosure, a large-format display, and an IR touch frame into an integrated, interactive system.
A bezel, or frame, is constructed from a material such as industrial-grade aluminum alloy. Infrared light-emitting diodes (IR LEDs) are placed along two sides of the bezel, with corresponding phototransistors (sensors) on the opposite two sides. The control board, which processes signals from the sensors, is incorporated into the frame. A layer of durable glass is typically mounted within the frame to protect the sensors and display beneath it.
