SouthWing - Case Study [Weifang Beichen Hospital]

As a modern hospital with "high standards, high specifications and high quality", Weifang Beichen Hospital fully integrates the concepts of humanity, openness, ecology and landscaping, and scientifically and rationally connects the outpatient and emergency buildings, medical technology buildings and ward and inpatient buildings to maximize the convenience of medical treatment.
SouthWing Smart Medical Intercom System can meet the needs of all-day information exchange between medical and nursing wards, improve the communication efficiency between doctors and patients, and intuitively display the patient's hospitalization information through the patient list, which is convenient for family members to check. At the same time, it provides information release function for the ward nurse station to effectively manage and care for patients.

1. Medical Intercom Host: The Digital Hub of Nursing
Real-Time Response: Smart hosts at nurse stations enable sub-second patient call responses, cutting average response time from 8 to 2 minutes (2021 data);
Digital Task Management: Automatic recording of medical events (e.g., medication, exams) creates visual task lists, reducing nursing errors by 28% and improving daily efficiency by 35%;
Cross-Departmental Linkage: One-click emergency calls to security/logistics ensure rapid response to safety incidents.
2. LED Double-Sided Corridor Screens: Dynamic Information Hubs
Call Visualization: Simultaneous display of bed numbers, patient names, and care levels (e.g., "critical care") on both sides, with scrolling/flashing alerts improving corridor response by 50%;
Multi-Functional Use:
Time Synchronization: Accurate hospital clock system integration for time-sensitive tasks like surgeries;
Health Education: Non-call periods feature chronic disease management videos, reaching over 40,000 patients/families annually.
3. Ward Intelligent Terminals
Door Terminal: Smart Care Status Indicator
Red light: Active call (e.g., infusion needs);
Green light: Nursing in progress (Do Not Disturb);
Digital display: Real-time updates on attending doctors and care plans, minimizing bedside communication workload.
Bedside Terminal: Patient-Centric Innovation
One-Click Calling: Connects to nurse stations, corridors, and doctor offices with hands-free communication, reducing patient movement by 60%;
Self-Service Portal: Real-time access to bills, test results, and diet advice, cutting nurse station inquiries by over 60%.
product key technologies

Medical intercom host
The medical staff at the nurse station are also equipped with a medical intercom host, which can answer patient calls at any time. At the same time, they can conduct digital management of daily care based on the medical event records of all inpatients, which not only reduces labor intensity and costs, but also makes medical services more secure.
LED double-sided corridor screen
The LED double-sided corridor screen is mainly used to display call information, time, slogans, signs, etc. When calling, the call number is displayed on both sides at the same time. The display screen is accompanied by reminder functions such as scrolling or flashing, and supports circular reporting, helping the nurse station to quickly convey service information.

As the healthcare industry embraces digital transformation, the demand for smart, efficient, and highly integrated information systems continues to rise. To support this trend, SouthWing Information Technology Co., Ltd. has partnered with a leading hospital to deliver a customized commercial display solution, helping the institution realize a more intelligent and connected medical service experience.
4. Information Release System: The Hospital's Smart Facade
Full-Scenario Coverage: HD LCD screens in corridors, elevators, and halls replace 50,000+ paper posters annually, supporting real-time policy updates and department introductions;
Data-Driven Content: Personalized messages (e.g., diabetes diet tips) via HIS integration, boosting health knowledge reach by 300%.
🚀 Key Outcomes
Communication Efficiency: 75% faster call response, 92% patient satisfaction rate;
Nursing Productivity: 95% digital task coverage, 40% less daily communication time;
Sustainability: 100% paperless public areas, 12-ton annual carbon reduction.
🌟 SouthWing's Expertise
✅ National High-Tech Enterprise | Guangzhou "Specialized, Fine, Unique, and New" Small Giant
✅ Full Stack Capability: In-house software + customized hardware + system integration (e.g., dual-system all-in-one devices in this project)
✅ Proven Track Record: 200+ medical clients across general hospitals, maternal care, and primary health centers
Ward door phone
When the ward door machine is in the nursing state, the service light can be used to remind family members in the corridor to avoid disturbing or interrupting the process. At the same time, medical staff can use this device to manage check-ins and make remote calls, identify patients' medical care needs and make service responses.

Bed extension
In order to allow inpatients to "move less and worry less" during treatment or rest, the hospital has deployed bed extensions on the beds. The extensions can realize one-click calls to the nurse station, corridor screens, door screens, etc., and quickly respond to service needs through hands-free calls with medical staff, so that patients can rest assured during treatment and recover soon.

In this project, SouthWing provided a complete suite of interactive flat panels, dual-system all-in-one displays, and customized software platforms, tailored for various application scenarios in the hospital - including doctor-patient communication rooms, nurse stations, outpatient registration, and smart consultation areas.
The displays were designed to ensure high-definition visualization of medical data, intuitive user interfaces, and seamless compatibility with the hospital's existing systems. Not only do these improvements enhance communication efficiency between doctors and patients, but they also reduce waiting time, improve diagnostic accuracy, and contribute to an overall smarter healthcare workflow.
Information release system
The SouthWing information release system is widely used in public areas such as corridors, elevators, and halls. Through advanced LCD screen technology, it provides the hospital with comprehensive publicity, education, display and other functions, truly achieving paperless publicity and high-quality effects.
Through close collaboration and on-site customization, SouthWing's R&D team ensured that each hardware-software module fit the real usage environment. The project also highlights our commitment to supporting the digital transformation of healthcare institutions, and contributing to more human-centered, efficient, and intelligent medical services.
This case demonstrates SouthWing's technical strength and practical capability in serving industry-specific needs. In the future, we will continue to explore in-depth applications of display technologies in digital healthcare, providing reliable tools for hospitals, clinics, and medical research institutions.
